All the Finnish public holidays, flag days, shopping events and holiday seasons of 2027 in one place, plus a free Excel template that turns them into a publishing plan.

How to use this calendar

Pick what fits your brand

You do not need to post on every date. Choose one or two per month that match your audience, and skip the rest.

Prepare big dates early

Prepare Black Week, Christmas and Mother's Day three to four weeks ahead, so that creatives and offers are ready.

Schedule around quiet periods

Easter, Midsummer, July and Christmas are quiet in Finland. Schedule posts ahead and expect less attention, especially from business audiences.

Quiet periods and busy seasons

Easter (26–29 March)

Many Finnish companies are closed from Good Friday to Easter Monday. Schedule posts ahead and keep the tone light.

May Day and Ascension (30 April – 9 May)

May Day is a strong moment for consumer brands. Ascension Day on 6 May creates a long weekend, so business attention is low around it.

Midsummer and July (25 June – 31 July)

Midsummer is the quietest weekend of the year and many people take their main holiday in July. Plan evergreen content and schedule it in advance.

Mid-August restart

Work and school restart in mid-August, and September is typically a strong month for business campaigns and newsletters.

Black Week and Christmas (22 November – 26 December)

Retail attention peaks in Black Week and the weeks before Christmas. Schedule the last business campaign for early December.
